How to Connect Stereo 3.5mm Headphones to a USB Type-C Mobile Phone
As the connectors for USB Type-C and a 3.5mm audio jack are different, an adapter is required to connect headphones that have a standard 3.5mm audio jack.
To do this, simply plug in a USB-C to 3.5mm Adapter into your phone, and then connect the headphones into the adapter.
USB-C to 3.5mm Adapters can be purchased from most electrical product retailers, and online stores. Just be aware that not all USB-C to 3.5mm Adapters support TRRS (headphone + microphone) connectivity. So it is best to double check before purchasing. If you have a headset with microphone that has dual 3.5mm jacks (1 for mic, 1 for speakers), then be sure to buy an adapter that has both ports on it.
